I fell in love all over again with Swimmers Chant some weeks ago. I had totaly forgotten about the song. It was quite plesant rediscovering it! : D
I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
...Because Mew have helped me to discover myself and figure out exactly who I am. They have shown me the way to playing the guitar and afterwards lead me to play in a band which now is everything I'd like to do in my life.Besides listening to Mewsick, at least. Mew have helped me boost my confidence as well as holding my head up helping me getting trough a very difficult periode of my life. They also never lets me down. Even at those places where every other band fails to meet the audience's expectations, Mew pulls if off better than anyone possibly could have dreamed of... And then there are all the wonderful people they have, unconsciously, set me up with as well as their twisted form for humor. In many ways Mew are some of those badass kids that do nothing but pranks all day but gets away with it becasue they know excactly when it is time to look cute. The pranks are always innocent and easy to overlook. They aren't really an issue. You know, "When they grow up, they will quit the bad habit by themselves"-kids. You can't really do anything but adore them, can you?
